i still have some troubles with the “b” or deiodisnok but other than that you do very good teaching the Russian language. i have been studying your videos for about a year now! i go on google translate and pronounce the words and i get the pronunctiation correct but i still have some troubles getting what the words mean but i will have to keep studying and learn. thank you very much, you helped alot. see you later:)

I have just started to watch your lessons, and I appreciate it wery much.
Your pronounciation is very good, you take your time to speak clearly, no rush – very good.
The tour through the alphabet is what I needed most. Good work.

Hi!

1) No. Letter “Ь” is used to make word sounds more soft. Ussually in the end of the word.

2) There is some words like йогурт (translation: yoghurt) in russian but also there are word like ёлка (can write it like ёлка). “Ё” and “Йо” are pronanced in same way (like yo). But this letters are rare – and you will see them just in few words.

3) I don’t think that “Ы” sound like in word Eye – word “eye” will be something like “ай” in russian. I think there is no such sound as “ы” in English.
